No Prison Time for Defendant in Robbery/Murder

LONGVIEW – A Longview man previously charged with murder has pleaded guilty to a charge of aggravated robbery. KETK and the Longview News-Journal report 21-year-old Kentrell Jorail Smith received a 10-year sentence with deferred adjudication — a 10-year probationary period. The case involves a May 2016 robbery that left one person dead at a convenience store on South Eastman Road. One person is now in prison in the case, with another awaiting trial.
