Fatal Smith County Accident

A vehicle/pedestrian accident in Smith County has killed one person. It happened shortly after 1:45 Tuesday morning on Farm Road 14, about 2 1/2 miles north of Tyler. Pronounced dead at the scene was 55 year-old Michael Edward Jowers of Tyler. He was walking in the road when hit by a car driven by 33 year-old Danny Keith McMiller of Tyler. The accident remains under investigation.
