Tyler Receives Award from TISD

TYLER – The City of Tyler has received the Community Partner of the Year Award from Tyler ISD. It was presented during the annual State of the District luncheon on Wednesday. The award was established in 2014 through a partnership with Tyler ISD and the Tyler Area Business Education Council. The award is given annually to organizations that provide exceptional and innovative support to Tyler ISD.
Previous award winners include:
2016- Cooperative Teachers Credit Union
2015-The Mentoring Alliance
2014-Tyler Junior College
Also presented at the luncheon was the 2017 Distinguished Alumni Award. It was given to City Councilman Ed Moore, Board of Trustees Member Andy Bergfeld and Tyler Chamber of Commerce Chief Operating Officer Henry Bell.
