A Prison Term in a Child Exposure Case

LONGVIEW – Twin brothers from Gladewater are involved in child indecency cases in Longview. On Wednesday, a jury found Randal Chaise Harty, 35, guilty of indecency with a child by exposure. Harty, a registered sex offender, was sentenced to 20 years in prison. KETK reports he was caught masturbating in the vicinity of a child.

His brother, Russel Charles Harty, 35, pleaded “not guilty” on Tuesday to a charge of indecency with a child by exposure. Law officers are familiar with him. Back in January he was arrested in Longview after a woman said he exposed himself to her when he got of his pickup, which was next to her car. In May he was arrested on the indecency with a child charge. The Longview News Journal reports he was convicted of possession of child pornography in Upshur County in 2003. In that case he was sentenced to three years deferred adjudication.
