Palestine Football Player Injured, Teammate Charged

PALESTINE – A Palestine High School football player has been arrested for assaulting a teammate. Arrested Thursday evening was Le’George Marquez Gray, 17, a high school junior. He has been booked into the Anderson County Jail on a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury. He is said to have assaulted senior Michael Stanczyk, 18, after practice Wednesday. He is in stable condition in a Dallas hospital following surgery for facial injuries.
