Gregg County Bridge Opens

LONGVIEW – The new Farm Road 2087 bridge over the Sabine River in Longview/Gregg County opens today. Kathi White with TxDOT says the project has consisted of replacing the existing bridge and approaches, grading and surface work, and the placement of permanent pavement markings and metal beam guard fence. The cost of the project is $3.7 million. Crews will be conducting final cleanup activities today, removing equipment and barricades throughout the day. She says motorists should use caution when traveling this route once the bridge is opened to traffic.
