Tyler Prepared for Hurricane EvacueesTYLER – Tyler’s Emergency Operation Center, which opened Tuesday, remains open. The EOC is being utilized to coordinate local agencies’ relief efforts for Hurricane Harvey evacuees. Tyler has also set up a transitional hub at the Faulkner Park Police Substation on West Cumberland Road, to help direct evacuees to needed resources. It opened at noon on Wednesday. Since then, it had registered 260 people for Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) assistance and each received an ETN wristband tied to services available in the area.
