Driver Killed in Loop 49 Wreck Identified

SMITH COUNTY — A two vehicle wreck on Toll 49 has left one person dead and four others injured. It happened around 1:15 Saturday afternoon on Loop 49 north of Hwy 64 west, five miles south of the city of Lindale. The DPS report said a northbound Mustang, driven by Zachery Jester, 20, of Klondike TX, crossed the center line and struck a southbound Ford F-150 truck. Jester (pictured) was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck was identified as Eric Wallace, 32, of Winnsboro. Wallace was transported to ETMC-Tyler along with his passengers, Andrea Wallace, 25, and Andrew Wallace, 5, who was later flown to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas in serious condition.

Another passenger, Daniel Wallace, 2, was taken via air from the crash scene to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas. Their conditions are not known.
