Two Jailed, One Sought in Prostitution Promotion CaseTYLER — Tyler police say a vice investigation has spurred two arrests in a case of aggravated promotion of prostitution, but one suspect remains at large. According to a news release, On April 20, Tyler officers responded to the Rodeway Inn Hotel on SSW Loop 323. The 17-year-old caller said she had been picked up the day before from a restaurant in Fort Worth and brought to Tyler by three men. They were later identified as 25-year-olds Cederrick Monshod Shaquil Clarkson (pictured) and Demarcus Franshun Davis, along with 24-year-old Kentrell Dewayne Davis.

The girl said the three were promoters of a prostitution enterprise which used at least four female victims from around the state, aged 17 to 36. Police say the accusation was confirmed after an investigation conducted in conjunction with the United States Department of Homeland Security.

On July 7, police presented arrest warrants for the three to Smith County 114th District Judge Christi Kennedy, who signed the warrants and set bond at $400,000 each. Each defendant faces a maximum possible sentence of up to life in prison. Kentrell Davis and Demarcus Davis were arrested at the Tarrant County Jail in Fort Worth, where they were already behind bars for separate offenses. Tyler police are asking for the public’s help in finding Clarkson. They say he’s from the Shreveport area but has recently been living at hotels and motels in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex.
