Former Journalist Killed in Crash

EL PASO — Former East Texas journalist Mark Allen died over the weekend following a car crash in El Paso. KETK reports details in the crash are limited. Allen worked as a videographer, editor, and writer at various news organizations in East Texas. He also worked as a mentor to students at the University of Texas at Tyler, where his wife works. A memorial is being planned for a later date in Tyler.
