Numerous Drug Related Arrests in Henderson CountyATHENS — Five men were arrested for possession of methamphetamine, in separate cases. According to Henderson County Sheriff Botie Hillhouse, Clifford Keith Miller, 55, was arrested at a residence outside of Athens on HWY 175 West with a substantial amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and marijuana. A search warrant was issued following an unrelated investigation. Miller (pictured) faces up to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Russell Allen Stogner, 27, and Lonnie Lee Fender, 32, were stopped for a traffic violation near the intersection of FM 1615 and CR 4511 after 1:30 a.m. in the Athens area of Henderson County. Following a search of their vehicle, both men were found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamines. Stogner was also driving with an invalid drivers’ license. The drug possession crime for both men is a State Jail Felony carrying penalties of up to two years in jail and a $10,000 fine. An investigator also located a possible stolen four wheeler which could lead to more charges.

Fugitive Phillip Maddox was arrested for an outstanding warrant for felony theft and felon in possession of a firearm. Also arrested was Deric Young for possession of suspected methamphetamine and marijuana. Young was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana along with outstanding arrest warrants out of Seven Points.

Jeffrey Ryan Anding, 29, was arrested following a traffic stop. He was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine.
