MT. PLEASANT — DPS Troopers say the 18-wheeler driver who reportedly caused a deadly Mt. Pleasant bus crash had been ingesting methamphetamine. The Mt. Pleasant Tribune reports Bradley Farmer had nearly .2 grams of meth in his system. He died, along with a Mt. Pleasant softball coach, in the March 23 crash. Authorities say Farmer swerved into oncoming traffic, hitting the school bus carrying the boys’ track team. He then ran into a car, killing the driver, coach Angelica Beard.
