Chandler Man Busted Again On Drug ChargesCHANDLER – Another East Texas traffic stop has resulted in a drug bust. The latest occurred around 1:00 Thursday morning Thursday in the Forest Grove subdivision in south of Chandler. Two Henderson County sheriff’s deputies stopped a suspicious vehicle. After the driver got of out the vehicle, deputies noticed a white-colored plastic bag on the road. Inside the bag was about 10 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Arrested was David Wayne Cummings, 49, of Chandler. He’s being charged with possession of a controlled substance and tampering with physical evidence.

Cummings was arrested just a month ago on drug charges. Cummings and Christina Cummings, 44, were arrested in a stolen trailer in the Forest Grove Subdivision south of Chandler. They were arrested by Henderson County and Smith County authorities. In the trailer, investigators found illegal drugs, methamphetamine, Xanax and marijuana. They also seized a gun, counterfeit money and material used to distribute the contraband. The two were charged with manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. And since David Cummings is a convicted felon, he was also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.
