Marshall Woman Accused of Beating Foster Child

MARSHALL — A Marshall woman has been arrested after an 18-month-old foster child in her care was transported to a Dallas- area hospital with severe injuries, allegedly from a severe beating. Michelle Hayes has been charged with injury to a child. Hayes was licensed to be a foster parent in 2016 and had three children in her care when the incident occurred. She was released from the Harrison County Jail Saturday after posting a $150,000 bond. The toddler’s condition was not immediately known.
