High Street Additional Underpass Lane Closures (Tyler to Cotton)

LONGVIEW — The High Street underpass in Longview has been reduced to two lanes. Two-way traffic will be maintained along High Street in both directions from Tyler Street to Cotton Street, but left turns will not be allowed at Cotton or Tyler as the northbound and center turn lanes will be closed to traffic. Officials say the closure is necessary to make street pavement repairs, to install a brick veneer, and replace the sidewalk, curb, and gutter.

Drivers wishing to travel between Cotton and Tyler Street may use alternate routes along Whaley Street, South Street, or Green Street. You’re asked to use caution if traveling this route due to heavy construction in the underpass. This project is being constructed by East Texas Bridge of Longview.
