Two Injured in Longview Train-Pickup Accident

LONGVIEW – An accident involving a train and a pickup remains under investigation in Longview. The accident happened around 2:30 Saturday morning at the railroad crossing on West Birdsong just west of Baxter Avenue. The Longview Police Department reports the pickup was east bound on West Birdsong when it ran underneath the train as it was traveling north. The owner and passenger of the pickup were able to exit the vehicle at the time of the accident and sustained only minor injuries.
