Thieves Looking for Unlocked Vehicles

TYLER – There have been a rash of auto burglaries reported in Smith County. And the sheriff’s department reports most have involved unlocked vehicles. The suspects are targeting neighborhoods, looking for unlocked vehicles, then taking unsecured items. You’re being asked to remove valuables, or place them out of sight, then lock the vehicle. Try to park in a lighted area. And, if you see any suspicious activity, you are asked to report it immediately.
