MARSHALL — A Marshall man was indicted on Thursday for sexual assault of a child younger than age 17. According to KETK and the Marshall News-Messenger, the indictment says 40-year-old David Reshaun Porter is accused of having sex with an underage girl around Oct. 1, 2016. According to an arrest affidavit for the incident, filed by Harrison County Sheriff’s Investigator Cindy Black, the investigator was contacted by an HCSO narcotics deputy to assist with a juvenile female, who was at a motel. “The (alleged victim) was in a room with a known drug dealer, the defendant and another adult male,” the affidavit states.
After the victim was patted down for drugs, she was transferred to the sheriff’s office, where she allegedly informed officers that she and the defendant were having a sexual relationship. She alleged that they had intercourse at a motel around Oct. 1, 2016. “She admitted to using meth by shooting it into her arm,” the affidavit states. The victim alleged that the defendant, Porter, taught her how to shoot drugs “the right way” so she wouldn’t hurt herself.
