Safe Zone Created in Longview

LONGVIEW – Longview police have established a safe zone for people to meet and buy and sell items advertised through online marketplaces. The safe exchange zone is located right in front of the police department.The 300 West Cotton Street location is well-lit and has 24 hour video surveillance. And the police also encourage the use of the safe exchange zone for child custody exchanges. If you decide not to use the safe exchange zone, they say you might consider meeting at a major retail store parking lot or other very visible public space.
