Longview Man Accused of Threatening to Shoot His Stepsister

LONGVIEW – A Longview man remains in the Gregg County Jail after he was said to have threatened to shoot his stepsister. The Longview News Journal reports Robert Louis Smith, 47, was arrested Friday. Police were called to a home on Pleasant Green Road where a woman Smith said pointed a gun at her and threatened to kill her. She said he even shot the lock off of a locker during their argument. Smith has been charged with aggravated assault of a date/family/household member with a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. His bonds total $120,000.
