Fatal Longview Accident

LONGVIEW – A two vehicle accident in Longview has left one person dead and two persons injured. The accident happened around 1:30 Thursday afternoon On Gilmer Road at Vicky Drive. Killed was Jeanette Rhoades, 71, of Longview. Police say her car failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign and collided with an SUV. The other driver, Shelly Russell, 30, of Longview and her passenger, Idell Stanley, 82, of Longview, are both hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
