East Texas Jail Administrator Resigns During ProbeQUITMAN – The Jail Administration for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office has resigned amid an investigation of his actions. David McGee resigned during an investigation of allegations of possible inappropriate conduct between him and a jail inmate. The Texas Rangers were called in to conduct an investigation. During the investigation, McGee was arrested and charged with two counts of tampering with evidence. He was later released from jail on bond. Further information is unavailable. Records in the case have been sealed by a state district judge in Wood county.
