Tyler Firefighter Hospitalized Following Structure Fire

TYLER — Tyler Firefighters responded to a 2-story structure fire near the intersection of Border Avenue and Selman Street around 10:15 Sunday morning. The eight residents were able to escape the home without injury. The house suffered heavy fire damage. No word on the cause of the fire. A Tyler firefighter was transported to a local hospital following a medical issue that occurred outside of the structure during the incident. The firefighter was undergoing additional testing and treatment. No word on his condition.
