Police Probe Tyler Robbery

TYLER — Police need your help solving an aggravated robbery that happened Sunday morning shortly after 9:15 at the Family Dollar Store at 1403 East Gentry in Tyler. The two employees who had just opened the store told officers that three black males entered. They had their faces covered and were armed with a black handgun and a machete. They immediately announced their intentions to rob the store. They emptied two cash registers of the store’s money and fled the scene, running northbound around the store. Tyler Police officers arrived and started a neighborhood canvass for evidence and witnesses. A detective was called to the scene to continue the investigation.
