TJC Gets Online Recognition

TYLER – Tyler Junior College’s online program has received national recognition. The Community for Accredited Online Schools says the TJC program is one of the best in the nation. In its annual rankings for the 2016-17 academic year, TJC was honored for:
* Best Online Colleges
* Best Online Vocational Schools
* Best Two-year Art Degree Program
* Best Ultrasound Technician Program
To qualify for this ranking, schools must hold public or private not-for-profit
status, carry institutional accreditation, and offer at least three online degree
programs.
According to a news release from the school, TJC offers about a dozen online and hybrid degree options in a variety of fields. Some programs are designed specifically for students seeking to enter the workforce, while others are geared toward students seeking transfer to a university.
Although these programs can be completed online, students can utilize TJC’s student resources, including free tutoring, counseling and academic advising. Online coursework is delivered through the Canvas learning management system.
