Woman Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Vehicle

MARSHALL — The investigation continues into a fatal vehicle/pedestrian accident in Marshall. Jill Johnson, 48, of Marshall was killed in the accident around 7:00 Thanksgiving night on Farm Road 31 near Elysian Fields Avenue. Authorities say a southbound vehicle hit her as she was crossing the road. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. Speed is not believed to be a factor in the crash and charges are not expected to be filed against the driver. Officials are calling it a “tragic accident.”
