Some Area Sales Tax Allocations Drop

AUSTIN – The state comptroller’s office is sending out the November sales tax allocations. These allocations are based on sales made in September. And some of the area cities continue to run below last year’s figures. Tyler’s allocation is $3,617,818.61. This is nearly 3% below the same period last year. For the year, Tyler’s sales tax allocations are down 4.1% from last year. Longview’s September allocation is $2,833,505.25. This is down 2.1% for the period. For the year, Longview’s sales tax allocations are off 3.51%
