Fatal Pedestrian Accident in Tyler

TYLER – One person has been killed in a vehicle/pedestrian accident in Tyler. It happened just before 7:00 Wednesday night on Loop 323 at Highway 110 North, Van Highway. The initial report indicated the pedestrian was walking from east to west across the Loop just north of the intersection when he was hit by a pickup. Charles Lee Sharrai, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials said it appears the pedestrian was at fault. No charges have been filed against the driver.
