Armed Robbery Under Investigation

TYLER — Tyler police are investigating an armed robbery early Monday morning. Officials said it happened around 4:20 at Lavanderia Express on Vine Street. The cashier told officers an armed black man threatened the clerk with the handgun and demanded cash from the register and the safe. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. He’s described as short and thin, wearing a mask, black hoodie and khaki pants. No injuries were reported.
