Authorities: Intoxicated Kilgore Woman Rammed Truck, Wrecked CarLIBERTY CITY — Authorities in Gregg County say a 32-year-old Kilgore woman rammed a man’s truck with her car and then chased it out onto a road before wrecking her vehicle in a field. KETK and the Longview News-Journal report Cherine Angela White was held at last report on bonds totaling $76,000. She’s charged with driving while intoxicated, driving with a license invalid with previous conviction/suspension without financial restitution, and aggravated assault of a date/family/household member with a weapon.

The Gregg County Sheriff’s Office was called about 7:15 p.m. Thursday to the Sabine Elementary School parking lot in Liberty City after a man reported White had tried to ram his truck with her car as he was leaving, according to an arrest report. The man also reported White followed him, rammed her car into the back of his truck at the intersection of Rice Road and Old Highway 135, and continued chasing him on Old Highway 135 before she wrecked her car in a field near Smallwood Road. The probable cause report notes two witnesses backed up the man’s story.

The Texas Department of Public Safety was called to assist with the crash, a separate probable cause report said. Troopers found White in the back of an ambulance, where they detected the smell of alcohol, the report said. When asked if she had been drinking, White said she had “maybe four shots” of pineapple vodka, the report said. White’s blood alcohol level test registered .113, the report said. The legal limit in Texas is .08 percent.
