Longview High School Librarian Gets 2 Day Suspension

LONGVIEW – A librarian at Longview High School has been suspended for two days after posting a a full size cut out of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton at the library entrance. The Longview School Board voted to suspend Linda Bailey without pay during a closed session Monday night. Last week Bailey put up the cutouts with signs attached to them. A paper sign on the Trump cutout read, “SIGN IN OR YOU WILL BE DEPORTED.” The sign on the Clinton cutout read, “This is the … door to use … Deplorables use the other door.” School officials had the cutouts removed as soon as they were discovered and the district issued an apology.
