Clown Threat Reported in Tyler

TYLER – The social media clown threats have turned up in Tyler. An Instagram post claims there is a killer clown at John Tyler High School. However, Tyler police report the photo with the post has been determined to be a copied photo that has been circulated on the internet and not a photo that has been taken locally. According to a news release from Tyler police, “all reports to law enforcement concerning any clown activity have been associated with social media. We caution anyone from participating in these type of activities to prevent any type of personal injury or potential criminal charges that may occur from the incident.”
