Grave Theft Suspects Arrested

CANTON – Two persons have been arrested for grave thefts in Van Zandt County. Charged with theft from a grave is David Mark Davis, 56, and his sister. Their arrests follow and investigation that started in February. Authorities estimated up to 40 graves have been effected around Edgewood, Fruitvale, Grand Saline and along U.S. Highway 80. When Davis was arrested, a stolen vehicle was also recovered. There could be other grave theft cases that have not been reported.
