Kilgore’s Snowhill Festival Cancelled

KILGORE – A Kilgore festival is being shelved and economic conditions are among the reasons for the actions. The Board of Directors of the Kilgore Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau have decided to cancel the long-running Snowhill Festival. Chamber president Cindy Morris said “due to many factors, including financial support and volunteer resources, the board has chosen to eliminate this event from the Chamber’s programming in 2016.” But, in the absence of that festival, the Kilgore Chamber will be lending its support to the Kilgore Historical Preservation Foundation in creating a new energy to the annual Christmas in the Patch event. This features the Derrick Lighting on November 17th.
