Gohmert Named Guardian of Small Business

WASHINGTON — Republican East Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert has received the Guardian of Small Business Award from The National Federation of Independent Business for what’s termed his outstanding support of America’s small business owners. Calling the award an honor, Gohmert says, “Small businesses are truly the backbone of this nation’s economy, and The NFIB works tirelessly to ensure they are protected,” as quoted in the news release. Gohmert’s office says the Guardian recognition is the NFIB’s most prestigious award reserved for lawmakers who vote consistently with NFIB on the key issues identified by small business owners. Gohmert received a 100 voting record during the 114th Congress.
