More Fake Money Turns Up in East Texas

PITTSBURG — The Pittsburg Police Department is warning the public about fake movie money being passed around the area. According to KETK, the counterfeit cash, or “Hollywood money” has shown up in Pittsburg. The currency is typically used in television shows and looks similar to the real thing. However, authorities stated the feel of the cash is a dead giveaway for the fake money. Hollywood money has also been reported throughout East Texas, including the cities of Longview, Kilgore, Lufkin and Texarkana. Police advise citizens to not accept questionable money and to contact authorities.
