Smith County Road Closes for Bridge Reconstruction

SMITH COUNTY — County Road 2138, south of Whitehouse, has closed for the reconstruction of the bridge at Blackhawk Creek. Work on the bridge, located 1.2 miles north of Highway 110, is being done by the Texas Department of Transportation and is expected to take about six months. Electronic signs have been placed on the road to alert drivers that it is closed to traffic. Motorists will need to find alternate routes during this time.
