Longview Death Appears to Be from Natural Causes

LONGVIEW – Longview police are investigating a body that was found Monday afternoon shortly before 2:45. The victim is identified as 60 year old Juan Garcia. The police department’s Facebook page said the body was discovered in the area of Bostic Drive and South Green Street. He may have died as a result of the heat. Justice of the Peace James Mathis told the Longview News Journal, “That’s what it looked like. At this point there is no foul play appearance.” Investigators say the autopsy indicated he died of natural causes.
