Longview Death Probed

LONGVIEW – Longview police are investigating a body that was found Monday afternoon around 3:15. The victim is identified as Rene Conejo, 54. The police department’s Facebook page said the body was discovered in the area of Edwin and South Green Street. He may have died as a result of the heat. Justice of the Peace James Mathis told the Longview News Journal, “That’s what it looked like. At this point there is no foul play appearance.” An autopsy has been ordered. Conejo was last seen on Saturday. A missing person report was filed on Sunday.
