Gilmer Man Gets Prison in Drug CaseGILMER – A Gilmer man has entered a guilty plea to drug charge the day before his trial was to start. Brian Lee Stracener pleded guilty to delivery of methamphetamine to a confidential informant. The delivery occurred from his residence off of South Montgomery Street outside of Gilmer. Because of the amount of drugs purchased from Stracener over the course of two days it made the case a second degree felony. Judge Lauren Parish received the plea and sentenced him to 10 years in prison. Had he been tried by a jury, he could have received up to 20 years in prison.
