Victim Reportedly Stabbed by Jealous Boyfriend

TYLER — Tyler Police are investigating an aggravated assault. Officers said they were called to a local hospital around 10:50 last night in regards to a man with a stab wound to his upper chest. The 62-year-old victim told officers it happened while he was at the Victory Park Apartments on Grand Avenue. According to the police report, the man said he gave a woman money for a soda when the woman’s boyfriend apparently became angry and reportedly stabbed the victim. His wound is said to be non-life threatening.

Officers discovered the crime scene in a common area of the apartment complex and spoke with numerous individuals. The suspect is unknown, but an investigation is on-going.
