Teen Indicted in Father’s Shooting

LONGVIEW – A Gregg County man has been indicted in the shooting of his father. Noel Garner Jr., 19, of Gladewater has been indicted on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing serious bodily injury to a family member. Around 3:00am on May 25th, Noel Garner Sr.,42 was shot in his face at the family home on North Ferry Street. The wound was not life-threatening and he was able to give officers details of what happened. His son, who had fled the scene, was arrested a short time later.
