Palestine Robbery Suspect Arrested

PALESTINE – A suspect is in custody in connection with a Palestine robbery. The robbery occurred around 8:00 Tuesday morning at the Blow Vapor Zone. Palestine detectives were able to identify the suspect and, with warrants in hand, they went to the suspects home on Martin Luther King Boulevard. Around 5:15 yesterday afternoon, they arrested 24 year old Cameron Dewayne Shead. According to the department’s Facebook page, Shead was charged with aggravated robbery and his bond was set at $50,000.

As we previously reported, the victim said while she was working at the business, the robber entered the office where she was sitting and displayed a handgun. She said the suspect ordered her to give him the money. The victim reported that she gave the robber the money she had. The man led her to the bathroom at gunpoint, then locked her in the bathroom, where she stayed for approximately 20 minutes before calling police. The victim said she was the only person inside the business during the robbery. The thief left the location with an undisclosed amount of money.
