Lake Jacksonville Drowning Victim Identified

CHEROKEE COUNTY — Officials have recovered the body of a drowning victim from Lake Jacksonville. Officials said around 7:00 Sunday night, a young man was swimming near the concession too close to the dam when he went under. His body was recovered less than an hour later. The victim was later identified as Mario D’Andre Burns, 23, Athens.
