Nearly 100 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Marshall

MARSHALL – A suspicious package in a vehicle lead Marshall police to a marijuana seizure. The marijuana was in packages wrapped in black tape in the hatchback area of an SUV which was on a car hauler at a Marshall service station. After moving it to a safer location, a police dog alerted officers to drugs in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle turned up four large packages containing marijuana wrapped in black tape. The marijuana weighed 91.2 pounds. No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is continuing.
