Fatal Van Zandt County Wreck

CANTON – One person has been killed in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 20, about two miles east of Canton. Killed in the wreck around 4:00 Friday afternoon was Brian Gunn, 40, of Wichita Falls. He was a passenger in a pickup driven by Joseph Dodd, 30, of Azle. Dodd was taken to a Tyler hospital for treatment. The Department of Public Safety reports Dodd may have fallen asleep at the wheel. He was traveling west when the pickup left the road and rolled into a creek.
