Attorney Pro Tem to Hear Case Against Judge Baker

SMITH COUNTY — A visiting judge has appointed an East Texas judge to hear the petition asking for the removal of Smith County Judge Joel Baker. According to KETK, this comes after District Attorney Matt Bingham asked to be recused and that request was granted. The Attorney Pro Tem appointed by visiting Judge David Peeples is Jim Parsons of Palestine.
