Suspect Yeti Thief Arrested

KILGORE – Kilgore police feel they have arrested a man who has been going around East Texas stealing Yeti coolers. Currently free on a $16,500 bond is Tanner Mark Beattie, 24, of Longview. He is said to have cruised parking lots in Marshall, Longview and Kilgore, looking for truck beds with Yeti coolers. Many were locked or chained. But bolt cutters were used to steal the coolers, which were later sold on the internet on Craigslist. Beattie has been charged with four counts of theft of property valued between $100 and $700.
