Marshall Man Convicted of Murder

MARSHALL – A Marshall Jury has found Javonte Sanders, 21, of Marshall, guilty of the 2014 murder of Wiley College student Wesley Blackmon and the aggravated assault of two others. Them, after deliberating just over an hour, the jury sentenced Sanders to 99 years in prison. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison for the aggravated assaults. The two sentences will run concurrently.
