Lufkin Business Robbed

LUFKIN – Police are looking for the man who robbed a Lufkin business. The robbery happened around 7:45 Sunday night at Subway on Champions Drive. The man spent around 45 minutes in the store, even using the restroom and restaurant phone. He gave an employee a note that said, “Give me all the money in the register or I will kill you, then kill myself because I’m not going back to prison.” He went on to explain what the note meant, while holding a gun concealed in a sock. He fled with an undisclosed amount of money. Neither employee was injured.

The suspect was described as a black male in his late forties, wearing a camouflage jumper, like a mechanic would wear, sunglasses, a do-rag and white gloves . If you can provide any information about the suspect, you’re asked to contact the Lufkin Police Department.
